We come in peace....

I will be the first one to admit, I spoil our kids. BUT, that doesn't mean when we go to any store, he gets to pick out any toy he wants. There is a dollar limit for sure. However yesterday, I broke that limit.

We went to Walmart to pick up diapers...repeat...to pick up DIAPERS! Well, it all started when we walked by the toy section. Tyler has become obsessed with Buz Light Year, Star Commander and the Toy Story 1 movie. I bought him a plush buzz and the book from Kohl's and that is what really started this whole craziness. Then daddy bought him the movie that evening.

Anyways, we are walking past the toy section and he sees Buzz. Not just Buzz, the real Buzz. He isn't plush and squeeze able. He is....from the movie BUZZ and he talks. Tyler's eyes got so big as he walked up the the end cap where they were all sitting. My eyes wondered to the price $34.99! Ouch, for a toy! All I saw was a huge smile on my kids face, eyes wide and him shouting "MOM! I can get it, no problem!" At this point I usually do a good job reasoning with him. That didn't happen, he grabbed the big box and started walking.

" I can hold it mom, no problem. Look it talks...hehe (him laughing). WOW!"

He is doing this as we are walking down to the baby section. All the way down the aisle, it's a looooong aisle. Everyone, I mean everyone, is stopping and looking at him and telling me how cute he is. REALLY, not helping people! As we are walking back, I tried to ask him to put it back because we didn't need it now. Offered him the movie instead and that didn't work. I could tell if I was to make him actually put it back, a HUGE tantrum was going to happen. We have never had a tantrum in a store, and I really wasn't in the mood for one that day. I told him we could get it and he started to beam even more. He seriously stopped every couple of feet and would push a button for Buzz to talk. It really was precious watching him bending down, smiling and laughing.

As we were walking out of the store with receipt in hand, Tyler yells out to the greeter "We come in peace..." My face lit up and I was so happy for my kid. He was so happy, so happy. Now I just had to get home and tell his dad why I spent that money on a toy.

Here are some pics of Buzz and Tyler. I made him smile like how he smiled when he first saw the toy. Here it is:

We take Buzz everywhere. Bathroom, breakfast table, errands and he even sleeps in Tyler's room in a made up bed for him!!! Money well spent!

P. S. He didn't eat his breakfast this morning, but he did make sure Buzz had a few pieces!
