Long Beach State

Mark's family went out to California this summer for a summer vacation. We were unable to go and were so bummed about that! I wanted to go so bad, but flying for four now is a bit expensive. There is ABSOLUTELY NO way Grayson would sit on our laps like he did at 5 months old. Hopefully next summer we can make a trip out there!

Aunt Jennifer bought the boys Long Beach State shirts. I tried and tried to get a good photo of them "modeling" the shirts. These are the photos that turned out....alright that is :) Why Long Beach State, that is where Papa Jim went to school!

Rocky....I mean Grayson

Grayson had a hard week last week, poor guy! The rain set the mood for everyone and kept us in the house. Like their mother, these boys like to go all the time and needs the outside world.

It all started on a nice and peaceful day. Just kidding. What really happened is that we had some of Tyler's friends over to play in the morning. They all did such a great job of playing and eating lunch. I had them in the living room getting ready for pick up. All were sitting on the couch watching what I had on TV. Grayson was in the mix as well. He was trying to get off the couch, the proper way, and got a little top heavy. He leaned forward a little too much and you obviously know what comes next. His head (eye) met the hardwood table. The table won and Grayson had to get 8 stitches. Thank goodness the mothers were on their way to pick up the kiddos because I had to run Grayson to the clinic. By the time he got stitches and I put him in the car to come home, he was fast asleep. Literally two seconds in the car. Spit the paci out and all!

The next day while playing with Tyler, they rammed heads and busted his lip. That bled more than the eye and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I have come to conclude that this kid is going to be non stop and prone to get hurt. That is why my friends, I am buying bubble wrap for him to live in!

July 4th Party

The July 4th was a hit...not really the Pearl Snap shirts, but its all good. We had a great time with family and friends and missed those who could not make it. I believe the kids had a great time swimming, playing and doing some fireworks later that night.

It was a late night for the Swann boys, but they did really well. No fits at all. I think the fireworks helped with that. Here are a few pics from the party...
This is Miss Finley...one word to describe her outfit...PRECIOUS!
Little Miss Paige...doesn't seem to happy the camera is in her face..again

Gobbles..as Tyler would call them

Look what Grayson found! He thought it was so funny wearing them. Later that night, he made an appearance outside wearing the goggles of course and just a diaper while eating a popcicle. Now that would have been a cute pic.

Okay, off momma...off

Weighing Grayson down...

During a quick swim, Grayson kept falling over. I started wondering why the heck could he not walk in the pool without falling. All I had to do is look at that diaper! When I took the thing off, he looked up and smiled at me. Its like he was thinking....FINALLY! Honestly, it weighed at least five pds. Sorry kid! That is why they have swim diapers....just in case you were wondering!

The Hamper

I have been wondering what am I suppose to do with two non-stop boys for the summer. Well, they answered the question for me. Give them a laundry basket while I fold clothes and let them play with it. Grayson thought this was a BLAST and Tyler was going for a free ride. The was some good free entertainment!

Grayson was actually mad that Tyler fell out of the basket. Grayson was the one that pushed him over!

Super Heros

Makenzie came to stay with us a few weeks back, and what a help she was. You would think, the more kids you have, the harder it is. I beg to differ. It seems even when Tyler has friends over, it is WAY easier on me.

They decided to dress up and play super heros. As you can see, Tyler was Batman, Grayson was Superman and Makenzie was Super Diva. She is such a girly girl!
They kept running and running and running.....get the picture.

Tyler seems a little tired from running in circles.
