I did something crazy this past weekend....I took our 3 yr old to a 3 hr recital during nap time. My thinking was that he was going to LOVE the music and he was going to be able to watch his cousin perform 9 times. Nine times is a lot if you ask me.We only had to take a "bathroom" break one time, but had to do many warnings. O'well, after all that is asking a lot of a 3 yr old. To sit still for 3 hours...yay right. Next year, I will bring more snacks, colors and heck my ipod that can play movies.Every year, every recital or every talent show, I always say the same thing. Dang, my niece is good. I know she doesn't take after me when it comes to dance. Yes, she is tall and has long legs. Unlike Aunt Melissa, she knows how to control them. Well, and she knows the steps to each dance. Yes, I was that child in the back corner of the stage looking at everyone else. My mom yanked me out of dance we she noticed (me being awful) I had no idea what I was doing at the recital.I'm very proud of Makenzie and her 10 ( A DECADE) years of dancing. Here are a few pics I took. This ballet dance was probably my favorite routine. Not hers, but mine. It also happened to be the very last dance of the night. So, you could imagine Tyler at this moment. If not, let me tell you. He was sitting down (while I was going crazy with the camera) on the ground eating food out of my purse. Then every other minute he would kindly tell me to take him to the bathroom to get spanked. Didn't break a sweat, just ignored the child :) Beautiful dance!!! Lyrical dance, which I liked as well. The modern dance....which I call the Robot dance. Shelley and Makenzie both get mad at me and they say I just don't get it. The truth...I don't. That is why I make fun...ROBOT!!!! Very cute! She was a lead dancer for the little ones. What a good leader she was indeed! Mom trying to keep the boy down. She just smiled and laughed at him. I guess he wasn't that bad...I would take him again
Grayson has been watching his big bro ride his tractor for awhile now. Actually, he has climbed onto the tractor and tried to drive it himself. Never succeeded though. Until this weekend. Big brother came to the rescue. I was riding the tractor and put Grayson on with me. Yes, you read it correctly. I was riding the tractor....well until we heard a funny sound. That is when Tyler came to the rescue. He jumped on and told me that he could take Grayson for a ride. It was oh so cute!!! The next day, they rode down the street to Supper Club. These are the moments where I think I might be able to have one more kid. They love each other so much and make each other smile and laugh everyday. Hugs and kisses are a must between them and Grayson never lets Tyler go sit in time out alone. He walks over, puts his head on Tyler's shoulder and hugs him. How can I get upset with that!I can hear my friends right now...scrrraaaappp boook!
It never fails, when Tyler is suppose to be at the table eating, he is up messing around doing something else. You would think my boys love food and eat anything. Nope not the case in the Swann house. Anyways, while up messing around today, he kind of got into his daddy's stuff. He came over to me when I called his name and told me that he isn't Tyler anymore, he is daddy. He looked so stink'n cute, I had to grab the camera. To bad spaghetti was all over his mouth and his dad's hat!! Oops, can't help but smile.
I couldn't resist. Sorry, Mark...but he is so cute!
